Boys Varsity Football · JM Football Finishes Season With Best Single Season Winning Percentage since 1992 Following Win Over Columbiana

The Blue Jays traveled to Columbiana for their season finale Friday night. This would be the final game for the seniors, and wow did they show up. Sr QB Frank Prozy threw for 258 yards and 2 touchdowns on the night while rushing for 187 yards and 1 rushing touchdown on 17 attempts. Frankie was also responsible for 3 successful two point conversions. Sr. Wr. Cole Grope tied a Jackson-Milton record for receptions in a single game (14) while hauling in 2 touchdown passes from Prozy and 1 two point conversion. Cole totaled a career high 227 yards receiving which is the most yards for a JM wide receiver since 2013. Sr. RB Sean Lengyel did his best to overcome an injury and rush for 43 yards on 8 carries, caught 2 passes in the game, caught a two point conversion and rushed for a touchdown. Sr. FB Noah Kramer rushed for a touchdown for the second consecutive week and caught a pass for a successful two point conversion. The Blue Jays accumulated over 500 yards of total offense and finished the year with the 4th best scoring average for a single season in Jackson-Milton History! Defensively, the Jays were led by Sr. LB Frank Prozy with 13 tackles and 1 interception, this was his first of the season. Cole Grope added 2 more interceptions, bringing his total to 6 interceptions in 9 games! Sr. OL/RB Logan Pugh finished the year with the second highest average yards per carry on the season. JM finishes the year with a 6-3 record, which gives them the best single season winning percentage since 1992.  Congratulations to everyone on a successful season and we wish the seniors the best of luck in the future!
