Blue Jays News · Cole Graham and Katie Campbell Compete at OHSAA Regional Championship!

On Saturday 10/31/2020 Cole Graham and Katie Campbell traveled to Boardman High School to compete in the OHSAA Regional Championship. They competed for a chance to move on to State against over 100 of the top runners in our region. Only the top 16 runners in the division 3 race moved on to the State Championship.

Although the end result was not what they were hoping for, Katie and Cole both had amazing races. They ran strong and competitively and they finished with races they should both be extremely proud of. The first race took off when the temperature was still around 30 degrees. That, along with the frost on the unmowed grass, leaf covered course, and mud puddles, made for a tough race.

Katie and Cole have their goals set to continue improving for next cross country season and their performance at today’s race is an amazing indicator of great things to come for them both.

Congratulations Katie and Cole on two incredible races and for giving our cross country season a wonderful conclusion.

Thank you to everyone that was able to come out and support those two at their race today. They both worked very hard to get to where they are today!

Overall Team Results: (Runner – Place – Time)

Cole Graham: 33rd – 18:28

Katie Campbell: 31st place – 22:36

Another congratulations to Cole and Katie and to every cross country runner for another great season! Go blue jays!
