Blue Jays News · JM Golf Competes at OHSAA District Tournament

After qualifying last week at the D3 boys sectional tournament,  Senior, Kent Gross competed at the OHSAA district golf tournament, held at Tannahalf Golf Course. On a very unseasonably hot fall day, Kent began his round on a challenging course, with extremely difficult greens. After completing his 18 hole round, Kent finished with a score of 84 giving himself an opportunity to potentially qualify for the state tournament. After all of the golfers completed their rounds, Kent finished in 6th place individually, just missing the cut for state by 2 stokes. This is a tremendous accomplishment in having to compete against 60 of the best D3 golfers in Northeast Ohio.  Kent had a great season continuing to work hard, improve his golf game, and striving to reach his goals.  Great job this season Kent!!
