Jackson-Milton traveled to Newton Falls to take on the tigers in a non-conference game. Trailing at the end of one quarter, Jackson-Milton reaches pay dirt on a 49 yard scamper by Junior tailback Sean Lengyel to get the Blue Jays within one point (7-6). Trailing at the half 14-6, the Blue Jays needed to come out with a score and they did when Lengyel carried the ball 14 yards on 4th and 8 and reached the endzone for the second time of the ball game making the score 14-12 at the end of the 3rd quarter. In the fourth, Jackson-Milton punched it into the endzone one more time with Lengyel on a 7 yard rushing touchdown for his 3rd touchdown of the game and 6th touchdown in two weeks. Lengyel finished the game with 177 yards rushing on 27 attempts including a successful two point conversion. Newton Falls battled the Blue Jays all night and it was a back and forth game having 4 different lead changes. Once more Newton Falls takes the lead with under 7:00 to go with a score of 21-20 after a successful PAT. Jackson-Milton received the ball one more time with under 4:00 on the clock. An 8 play 55 yard drive capped off by an Aaren Landis 10 yard touchdown pass to Junior Frankie Prozy in the back corner of the endzone ended up being the deciding factor of the game.
